Professional Practices for Artists Sponsorship

$500.00

Invest in the professional growth of working artists.

Second Street Gallery's Professional Practices for Artists series provides emerging and mid-career artists with the practical skills needed to build sustainable creative careers. Through workshops led by experienced arts professionals, participants gain applicable knowledge in writing artist statements, developing elevator pitches, photographing artwork, preparing artwork for shipping and installation, and navigating open calls and approaches to galleries.

Many of these essential professional skills are learned through experience rather than formal arts education. By offering these sessions at an affordable cost, Second Street Gallery helps reduce barriers to professional development while empowering artists to advocate for themselves and their work.

Your sponsorship supports the costs associated with presenting one Professional Practices session, including instructor honoraria, educational materials, marketing, and program administration.

Sponsors receive:

  • Recognition as the sponsor of one Professional Practices for Artists session

  • Logo and/or name featured on the event webpage, promotional materials, social media, and event signage

  • Recognition during the workshop introduction

  • Two complimentary registrations for the sponsored session (if desired)

  • Sponsors who commit before June 1, 2027, will also be recognized on Second Street Gallery's Season 54 Sponsorship Wall, to be unveiled at the beginning of the 2027–28 exhibition season.

  • A charitable tax deduction to the extent allowed by law

By sponsoring a Professional Practices session, you help provide artists with the knowledge, confidence, and professional tools they need to build successful and sustainable careers.
