Kaleido Collective is a Richmond-based art collective made up of 5 artists: Alex McGowan, Rae Carlson, Merrin Winkel, Nathan Hosmer Nevarez, Nadia Msalek, and Ambrose Hernandez Godoy. Kaleido began as a small group of artists looking to support each other out of undergrad at VCU, but has grown into a mission to not only uplift each other and celebrate our identities, but also the surrounding community of artists. Kaleido seeks to create opportunities that services not only emerging artists, but those who don’t necessarily consider themselves artists, through partnerships with larger galleries and smaller artist-run spaces. juried exhibitions, teach-ins, and critiques, all while aiding each Kaleido artist in their individual practices.
