Join Second Street Gallery and Teeny Tiny Trifecta 8 exhibiting artist Lauren Williams for a hands-on weaving workshop on Wednesday, September 10, 5:30–7:30PM! Participants will learn the basics of weaving and create their own small woven piece on a simple, handmade loom. Explore a variety of materials—such as yarn, fabric, and rope—and discover how to combine textures and colors to craft something uniquely yours.
Guests will have access to all the necessary materials for workshop participation. No prior experience is needed.
The workshop is available at $20 SSG members / $25 non-members. This fee covers workshop instruction and access to all workshop materials for the activity.

About the exhibiting artist: Lauren Williams is a weaver, fiber artist, and art teacher. In her weaving practice, she is interested in the process of finding patterns, textures, and colors out in the world and translating these into woven structures and color schemes on the loom. She is currently based in Charlottesville, where you can find her weaving in her studio at McGuffey Art Center.
