Second Street Gallery invites you to attend two First Friday opening receptions on September 4 from 5:00 –7:30 PM to usher in our 53rd season of exhibitions and programs!
It is our pleasure to present Teeny Tiny Trifecta 9, the ninth annual iteration of the gallery’s celebrated juried group exhibition and fundraiser. Designed to showcase a broad spectrum of emerging and established talent, the exhibition highlights 609 original, small-scale artworks created by 203 participating artists. With all works priced at $125, TTT9 serves as an accessible introduction to contemporary art collecting while also offering experienced collectors a chance to discover other styles that complement their collection. This is the perfect opportunity to meet participating artists, explore the exhibition, and support the local creative community.
Teeny Tiny Trifecta 9 is generously sponsored by the Emily Hall Tremaine Foundation and is supported in part by the Virginia Commission for the Arts, which receives support from the Virginia General Assembly.
Vildvuxen: In Praise of the Untended is a solo exhibition of new work by Swedish-born, Charlottesville-based interdisciplinary artist Lotta Helleberg. Her textile, print, and book works celebrate the beauty, fragility, and resilience of nature and local plant life, urging awareness of environmental issues. Helleberg also uses natural dyes and materials in the production of her work, unifying form and content within her varied artistic output.
The artist was selected to present this solo show in recognition of her work in Teeny Tiny Trifecta 8, representing the Curator’s Choice exhibition pick for Second Street Gallery’s Season 53.
Vildvuxen: In Praise of the Untendedis generously sponsored by the Duke-Harbor Charitable Gift Fund, Andrew and Tyler Greeley, Journey Group, and the Virginia Commission of the Arts.
Both shows will be on view in the gallery September 4-25, 2026.
