We invite you to join us for the First Friday opening of two new exhibitions on Friday, February 6, 5:00-7:30PM! The exhibiting artists will be in the gallery to greet and mingle with our guests.

The Main Gallery will host Mixed Bag, featuring new and recent works by beloved Charlottesville, Virginia-based artist, musician, and educator Ryan Trott. Containing colorful paintings and papier-mâché sculptures—each paired with a musical soundtrack composed and recorded by the artist—Mixed Bag invites viewers to inhabit an immersive world of exaggerated characters and everyday objects placed within a dream-like environment.

The Dové Gallery will host Everyday Illuminations, a solo exhibition of new works by Richmond Virginia-based artist Sarah Hand. In a series of images to inspire wonder and delight, Hand explores a benevolent conspiracy connecting all of us with luck, community, and glimpses of something more magical swirling in the periphery.

Both exhibitions will be on view from February 6–March 20, 2026.
