Join Second Street Gallery and Teeny Tiny Trifecta 8 exhibiting artist Chris Haske on Wednesday, September 24, 5:30-7:30PM for a hands-on copper oxidation workshop and discover the beauty of creating vibrant blue patinas on copper! During this workshop, participants will learn the simple chemical process behind copper oxidation, using accessible materials to achieve stunning, unique results. Leave with your own transformed copper pieces and new techniques to incorporate into your artistic practice.

Guests will have access to all the necessary materials for workshop participation. No prior experience is needed.

The workshop is available at $20 SSG members / $25 non-members. This fee covers workshop instruction and access to all workshop materials for the activity.

Capacity is limited to 25 attendees.

About the exhibiting artist: Charlottesville based artist and educator, Chris Haske, likes to explore and play with new ways of making art. Though painting and drawing are the foundation of much of his work, they are often blended with collage, bookmaking, sculpture, and animation. He also enjoys the whimsy and precision in the design of clocks and automata.
