Abstraction and Play with Christina Flowers

On May 25, 2022, Second Street Gallery presented “Abstraction and Play,” a hands-on workshop with exhibiting artist Christina Flowers in the Main Gallery.

During this workshop participants had the opportunity to explore the practice of creating an abstract artwork from a word or intention. Starting with one continuous line, workshop attendees used hand-painted cut paper to create a one-of-a-kind abstract artwork. During the workshop, we explored color, texture, and the construction of form. Attendees left with a meaningful piece of abstract art and a look into the creative process.

The workshop included all necessary materials (some materials will be shared between attendees).
