Outreach

Educational initiatives have always been an integral part of SSG programming. SSG is committed to providing the Charlottesville region access to art by connecting artists and their work with the local community.

SSG offers over a dozen outreach programs, ranging from in-school art workshops to group art making activities through Family Art Day or the Public Art project. Each program is designed to deepen the public's enjoyment and understanding of exhibitions and to make the best of contemporary art more accessible to the community.
