Signs of Change Workshop | Lou Haney
POSTED ON 9.15.2018
Join us in the gallery on Tuesday, September 25th from 6-9pm for the next edition of Signs of Change. This week's workshop will be lead by local artist and Second Street Gallery's own Outreach Coordinator, Lou Haney.
For this workshop, the amazing Charlene Green from the Office of Human rights will lead a thought-provoking introduction to the untold histories of Charlottesville’s Black community. Then, Lou Haney will lead us in an art-making exercise to illustrate these histories. The completed works will be displayed in various exhibitions around the city.
We’re proud to partner with For Freedoms to inspire civic engagement in our community.
This event is free and open to the public.

About the performers:
“Sally Rose has all the charisma of a rock ‘n’ roll star paired with the grit and charm of an old-fashioned Southern girl. A woman of various musical incarnations, she brings attitude and solid chops [to every show]” (Cville Weekly). Crooning about ghosts, witches, moons and, heartache in a pin-up get up. Sally Rose’s music twirls, it shines, it tip-toes & seduces, you’ll fall in love & get drunk off of it. It’ll melt your heart, and break you down.
Erin Lunsford is a singer/songwriter and an accomplished musician on guitar, piano, and voice. She is a graduate of the University of Virginia and just recorded her debut EP at White Star Sound in Louisa, Virginia.
