Minimalist, conceptual artist, Mary Early creates organic sculptures by repeating
shapes to form larger objects. She makes kinetic patterns by combining elements that
she coats with beeswax to create a rich, seamless surface that alludes to objects found
in nature.

Mary Early lives and works in Washington, DC. She received a BFA from Bennington
College in Vermont. Her work has been exhibited in Washington, DC, Atlanta, GA, New
York and Germany. A three-time recipient of the Artist Fellowship granted by the DC
Commission on the Arts & Humanities. Early is represented by Hemphill Fine Arts.
