Jason Robinson

Jason Robinson is a filmmaker and new media artist working primarily in the medium of single-channel experimental video, animated .gifs, and live performance.

His worked has been screened at festivals and galleries both nationally and internationally including The Virginia Film Festival (Charlottesville, VA), Cinesonika (Vancouver BC), The Asheville Art Museum (NC), Multiplexer (Las Vegas, NV) and The eMerge Media Space (James Cook University, Australia). He is also the creator of Screensavers, an annual video performance series held at the Bridge Progressive Arts Initiative in Charlottesville, VA.

Musician Ryan Maguire performed an original live score using refurbished CD players and processed digital recordings of air pollution to perform a live sound collage as a complement to Jason's digitally processed video collage of the waste water treatment facility on view in SSG's Dové Gallery.
