The text-based terrains that Scott Hazard creates in his sculptures offer the viewer an intimate, unique, and kinesthetic reading experience.
Scott Hazard constructs three-dimensional, small-scale sculptures that are hinged on the constant
play/altercation between text and image. Coupling layered text with visual concepts, the terrains
that Hazard creates in his pieces offer the viewer an intimate, unique, and kinesthetic reading
experience. These imaginative and playful constructions articulate excessively clever landscapes.
Scott Hazard received a M.F.A. in Sculpture at the University of Florida and a B.A. in Science of Landscape Architecture from California Polytechnic State University.
