Scopophilia

Nan Goldin

June 3, 2011 – June 25, 2011

Given exclusive after-hours access to the Louvre museum in Paris, Ms. Goldin experienced what she says can only be described as Scopophilia, an ecstacy in looking. Afterwards, she created a 20 minute video interweaving photographs of works in the museum with her own signature images of friends. The film is narrated by Goldin, with music by Alain Mahé. Second Street will present the video in the Dové Gallery, and photographs in the Main Gallery.
