Filmmakers Gathering
Thursday, November 19
6 - 8 PM

Join the U.Va. Cinematography and Light House Studio Filmmakers for an informal festive gathering.

The 2015 Digital Media Gallery is a partnership between the Virginia Film Festival showcasing the works of U.Va. intermediate and advanced cinematography students, taught by Kevin Everson, and local youth filmmakers from Light House Studio, and Lydia Moyer. The DMG is part of the Virginia Film Festival’s Community Outreach & Education Program.

Lydia Moyer lives and works in central Virginia where she is an associate professor at the University of Virginia. Moyer directs the new media program in the art department at UVA, where she has taught since 2006. Her work approaches documentary concerns through the lens of studio art, collecting and manipulating archival, appropriated and original non-fiction material as a means of constructing new truths.
